WARNING: this post was supposed to go out in February but for some reason I didn't post it
Last last week my class started to go to Cameron Pools. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we go to Cameron Pools so we can get better at swimming. Also on Tuesdays and Thursdays, only the middle schools and the senior schools get to go. We all go at different times - Manukau gets to go at 12:30, Hauraki gets to leave at 1:10 and Waitemata gets to leave at 1:45. I get on the bus at 1:45 and I'm in Waitemata. At Cameron Pools we're in separate groups - we go either in the Nan's Pool or in the big pool. I prefer the Nan's Pool because I almost can't touch the bottom in the big pool and I can easily touch the bottom in the Nan's Pool and also the Nan's pool is warmer. The second last time I went to Cameron Pools we were swimming with life jackets. At the start of the lesson we had to sit on the boat, hold our nose and fall into the water. Since we were wearing life jackets when we fell off the boat we floated back up. After that we swam to the ladder, climbed back up the ladder and stood on the edge of the pool ready to actually jump into the pool. Then we all jumped in the pool. And again my life jacket floated when we all made a circle with us lying on our backs and holding each others life jackets. Our swimming teacher pulled us forming us into a big straight line and we had to hold each others life jackets. Just a little 30 minute lesson.
Here are some photos of us swimming.
Blog ya later!
