Dot Art

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh bloggers. Today I would like to show you the dot art me and the syndicate have been doing.

Our teachers showed us a sheet with dots that formed a christmas tree, then we had to get a piece of cardboard and a pin. We could choose between 3 colors of cardboard: yellow, green or blue. I chose green because yellow is too bright and with blue you can't really see the poked holes unless you put it on a window. Then we had to put the piece of cardboard on the mat, then put the sheet on top of it. After that we used a pin to poke the dots on the sheet so it would make holes in the cardboard so it would make the shape of a christmas tree.

This how it turned out in the end.

Kia Ora, bloggers. Today I would like to share with you another blog post. This post is going to be about the google art colouring book. Now what is the google art colouring book? Basically it is a digital colouring book with famous pictures.

I did the Statue of Liberty. Now, here is a "challenge". There are two pics of the Statue of Liberty but only ONE is the original one. Can you guess?

Put your answers in the comments. Thank you for reading my short blog post. I hope you have a good day/night. Blog ya later!

Biking

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, bloggers. Welcome to another blog post. Today I would like to share with you when I did biking on Tuesday. On Tuesday we did biking but it was raining so we had to wear raincoats. First we got introduced to 2 coaches : John and I didn't remember the other coach's name. They were going to teach us how to bike. But first we had to put a helmet because safety first. We used the 4 S' to help us : it was straps, shell, styrofoam, and sticker. After that we split into 2 groups depending on if we were confident. I haven't rode a bike in a long time but I went into the confident group  cause I'm a man. When John picked my bike which was a smaller bike I still felt like it was way too big. Anyways then we learnt about ABCDQ which a way to make sure your bike is safe to use.

A means air to make sure it's pumped, B means brakes to make sure they work. C is for chain to make sure none are rusty, D is to drop and listen for rattles. And Q means quick release to make sure they are in closed postition. Anyways skipping forward, I learned how to ride a bike. The first tip is to look forward. It's kind of like algorithms in Maths, just don't make sense of it. The second tip is to *ahem* just keep peddling (like just keep swimming). And the third by me (just in case) is to evade the crash like a ninja. Doing that kept me motivated and not hurt. Overall I really like biking. Now here are some pics.

Anyways I hope you liked my blog. You can comment if there is something I can improve (even though there is a 110% chance). I hope you have a good day/night. Blog ya later!

Skateboarding

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh everybody. Guess what we did today. Maths? I would like to but nooooo. Reading? Nuh uh. Writing? NO NO NO. You probably just saw the title anyways, but today we did skateboarding. This was our first two sessions on skateboarding this year.

This was the first of the two sessions that we have on this Friday specifically. The first session is 40 minutes and the second is 45 minutes so in total it is 1 hour 25 minutes. On Friday 20th of Nov when we did skateboarding we got introduced to 2 coaches or teachers : Ben and Lawrence. Now, I am not going talk about everything because I don't want to write a novel. So basically I learned the basic basics in the first lesson. At the start we learned the basic basic basics (just how to operate a skateboard) and then after that we did balancing. Then we played a game (fusion of red light green light and what's the time mr wolf) and after THAT we have free time. At that point I didn't like skateboarding at ALL.

The 2nd lesson is pretty much the same as the first one. I learned new moves (one I can actually do, the snake), we then play a game and in the free time I accidentally broke my nail (but it dries over time). So if I wanted to make this longer I can but again, I don't want a novel. I really liked skateboarding after that second session. I guess I really underestimated skateboarding. Now here are some pictures.

I hope you liked my blog post. You can comment if there is something I can improve (even though there is a 110% chance). Blog ya later!

Production

Kia Ora, bloggers. Today I am going to talk about the school production we did last week. For thosepeople who don't know what a production is, it's a show that tells a story and there is a cast, scenes and even props. l we usually do a production about a movie but, we switch it up a little bit like turning Peter Pan into Pasifika Peter Pan or something like that. Our production last week was Jasmine and Aladdin. Here's an explanation of how the production went.

Omar wants a lamp so he sends his "assistant" Geewiz to go find this guy called Aladdin to open the cave of wonders.  He finds him in the marketplace with Jasmine (the princess of the palace) and his cat Persia and Geewiz saved them. Aladdin and Persia went with Geewiz to the cave of wonders to pay for his debt. He finds the lamp and "polishes" it making the genie come out and grant him 3 wishes. The genie also says Omar and him are big foes. Alddin promised that his last wish was to set him free. Aladdin's first wish travel the world so the genie called the magic carpet. The 3 of them hop on and then fly away. Meanwhile back at the palace. Things are not going well for Jasmine. The sultan is very furious at Jasmine because she ran away. So he tests her skills by having professors teach her a lesson. But when youv'e been learning how to be a princess for 20 years, its not hard. Them he tells her about her S.T.E.M skills which were also no match for her. Okay i'll stop now.

I didn't and liked my role at the end. I liked it because I like dancing, but I also don't like because it is a very small role. I also liked that it was the end of production but I also didn't. I liked it because I didn't have to do it anymore, but I didn't like it because that was my only chance to be on stage in the seniors. I also didn't realise that when I was picking my preferences. Here is A photo (specifically).

Anyways I hope you liked my blog. You can comment if I can improve anything (even though there is a 110% chance I have something to improve). Blog ya later!

Just posting an old post

WARNING: this post was supposed to go out in February but for some reason I didn't post it

Last last week my class started to go to Cameron Pools. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we go to Cameron Pools so we can get better at swimming. Also on Tuesdays and Thursdays, only the middle schools and the senior schools get to go. We all go at different times - Manukau gets to go at 12:30, Hauraki gets to leave at 1:10 and Waitemata gets to leave at 1:45. I get on the bus at 1:45 and I'm in Waitemata. At Cameron Pools we're in separate groups - we go either in the Nan's Pool or in the big pool. I prefer the Nan's Pool because I almost can't touch the bottom in the big pool and I can easily touch the bottom in the Nan's Pool and also the Nan's pool is warmer. The second last time I went to Cameron Pools we were swimming with life jackets. At the start of the lesson we had to sit on the boat, hold our nose and fall into the water. Since we were wearing life jackets when we fell off the boat we floated back up. After that we swam to the ladder, climbed back up the ladder and stood on the edge of the pool ready to actually jump into the pool. Then we all jumped in the pool. And again my life jacket floated when we all made a circle with us lying on our backs and holding each others life jackets. Our swimming teacher pulled us forming us into a big straight line and we had to hold each others life jackets. Just a little 30 minute lesson.

Here are some photos of us swimming.

Tongan Language Week

Hello bloggers. Today I would like to share about Tongan Language Week (this week). Because this week is Tongan Language Week, some things are now related to Tonga.. Some of the Tongan related things were: the songs of the day were always Tonga related. If we finished our art then we had to do tongan art. Today, we also did a Kahoot about Tonga which was also the first time I didn't get at least 5th place. Also there were 4 boys who really "starred the show". Anyways, here are some pictures of Tongan Language Week.

I hope you have enjoyed reading my blog post. I don't mind if you give me feedback by commenting. Blog ya later!
